Choosing the right solution to fit the client needs
Our objective was to create a strong and visually appealing shop that would incorporate all the features needed to support Amanvida’s business needs, and also to offer a pleasant buyng experience for the customer groups. Therefore, we agreed to enhance Amanvida’s online presence with a new webshop built on Magento 2.4.7, featuring the Hyvä theme. If you ever interracted with us, you probably know one thing – we LOVE the Hyvä theme.
The Magento 2.4.7 platform offers robust performance, security, and scalability, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for clients. The Hyvä theme brings a modern and responsive design to the webshop. This was exactly what we needed to enhance interaction and making it easier for customers to explore and purchase Amanvida’s range of products.
Discussing and deciding on the design specs
The design of the new webshop is being created with Amanvida’s core values in mind. Every aspect of the site reflects the business values: quality, sustainability, transparency. The clean, modern layout ensures an intuitive shopping experience, making it easy for customers to find and purchase the organic and eco-friendly products they love.
The Hyvä theme complements Amanvida’s dedication to environmental responsibility, providing a fast, efficient, and responsive design that minimizes resource usage. This not only improves site performance but also aligns with the sustainable web practices.
What we tried? To create a digital space that embodies Amanvida’s philosophy, making it more convenient for customers to embrace a lifestyle that supports well-being.
Developing the shop one feature at a time
We documented Amanvida’s requirements in order to transform them into a fully customized webshop. Here are some (out of the many things) we implemented in terms of development:
THT functionality (short shelf life)
To improve efficiency and streamline processes, we developed and integrated THT functionality. This feature helps manage product expiration dates effectively, ensuring customers receive the freshest items.
Full data migration
We performed a comprehensive migration of data from Amanvida’s previous instance. This included:
- Orders
- Customers
- Products
- CMS pages
The transition was smooth, preserving all essential data and maintaining the integrity of the customer experience.
Custom shipping prices
To provide accurate and personalized shipping costs, we implemented a feature that shows custom shipping prices based on the user’s country IP directly on the cart page. This ensures transparency and convenience for customers from different regions.
DPD & multisafepay integration
We integrated DPD for reliable shipping services and Multisafepay for secure, versatile payment options. These integrations offer customers flexibility and trust in their shopping and payment processes.
Keeping the webshop tracking in mind
The last phase was to optimize search engine visibility, improve tracking, and enhance overall marketing performance.
Robots.txt Implementation
We have implemented robots.txt files across all locales. This feature guides search engines on how to interact with the webshop, ensuring the right pages are indexed and improving overall SEO efficiency.
XML Sitemaps and Google Search Console Submission
We generated XML sitemaps within Magento and submitted them to Google Search Console. Regular monitoring of the search console reports confirms that organic traffic remains stable, indicating effective indexing and visibility.
Setting the x-default Storeview
To enhance user experience and SEO, we set the x-default storeview for the main language with other languages marked as alternate stores. This configuration helps direct users to the appropriate localized version of the webshop.
Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) Configuration
We set up and configured the necessary analytics tools for comprehensive tracking and data analysis. We set-up the Google tracking, Hotjar, TikTok, and Facebook for a holistic view of user interactions and marketing performance. Configured the GA4 account and validated that all tracking works as expected. The client can now access detailed reports on traffic, eCommerce data, the checkout journey and not only.
