SMB Lab x Baldwin: a new digital chapter
When SMB Lab reached out to us, their goal was straightforward: build a new webshop that reflects their international presence and is ready for growth.
We built it on Magento 2, combined with the Hyvä theme: our favorite combo that never disappoints. The result is a future-proof platform that matches their reputation for quality and innovation, while making it easier for partners and clients worldwide to find exactly what they need.
Delivered in two phases
The existing SMB website was outdated and needed a complete redesign. Phase 1 focused on a clean, presentation-first relaunch: a solid foundation for what would follow.
By keeping it lean and focused, we ensured SMB Lab could go live on time with a fresh, modern design while leaving room to expand in the next phase.
An essential part of this phase was the creation of a Pharmacovigilance section, a key compliance requirement in the pharmaceutical world. The goal was to provide healthcare professionals and patients with a clear, trustworthy way to report adverse effects. We designed a straightforward, reliable flow that makes the process intuitive while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Phase 2: from website to platform
With the foundation in place, phase 2 expanded SMB Lab’s website into a more complete digital platform.
The implementation of Hyvä checkout brought a faster, smoother, and more modern purchasing experience for both professional and B2B users. Combined with Magento’s flexibility, it makes purchasing lighter, more intuitive, and ready for international growth.
We also implemented an order export flow to SMB, enabling their team to handle order processing internally and coordinate delivery follow-up.
Together, these additions elevate the platform beyond a presentation website into a more functional digital environment that supports SMB Lab’s operations and ongoing growth.
