Little Kings and Queens is a fashion store for kids’ clothes with an offline shop in Belgium. They wanted to build a webshop that would reflect their creativity and style. So Baldwin created the newest favourite place for mini fashionista’s and trendy boys – and their parents – to shop the latest kid’s fashion trends. Read here how we did this.
If you have read our portfolio entries, you’ll probably be tempted to say that here, at Baldwin, we love fashion webshops. As a matter of fact, we do. Since we designed and developed a wide range of webshops for clients in this industry, we can say for sure what functionalities and UI & UX elements a fashion webshop should contain in order to conquer the visitor’s heart, from the second they enter the webshop.
This time, we were overly excited about the challenge of developing a webshop that sells clothes for mini fashionista’s and cool boys. How we helped, you wonder? With design, webshop development, SEO & SEA.
Design & UX
Little Kings and Queens wanted a new webshop, translated into a contemporary and recognizable look and feel. Our designers created a clean design, that perfectly highlights the cool clothes for kids. The new design successfully fits the brand identity: it’s vibrant, chic and young.
Because fashion shoppers use webshops differently than other shoppers, the webshop’s UX needed to be designed to provide a flawless experience. We decided to add filters to every category page, so visitors could easily scroll through the clothes of their favourite brand, size or colour and totally and completely fall in love with the beautiful clothes.
The mobile as well as the desktop navigation is simple and intuitive and the check out is designed for modern fashion shoppers: fast & easy.
Thanks to the minutious planning, the development process was flawless. The website was developed in Magento 2, which offers great opportunities for online shops: from online payments and logistics, to transactional emails and so on.
Because the stock of Little Kings & Queens is limited to ensure exclusiveness, it was very important that the stock of the webshop is always synchronized with the stock of the cash register system. This was no trouble for our backend developers: they made sure of a full catalog synchronisation four times a day and a stock synchronization every 15 minutes.
Furthermore, the team of developers added several modules to the Magento webshop such as the FAQ module, the My account module and the blog module. They also installed the Baldwin SEO module to make sure tracking and marketing is as good as effortless for this fashion webshop.
Marketing: SEO & SEA
SEO and SEA functionalities are two important services we deliver with the launch of a website. In order to make sure the pages are properly indexed by search engines and the data we gather is accurate, we implemented and configured tools such as: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Tag Manager. Thanks to our own SEO Module for Magento 2 webshops, tracking is reliable and the configuration is fast. In order to track the conversions, we implemented events: add to cart, newsletter subscriptions, purchases, click to call etc. The team also optimized the SEO of the webshop.
After go-live, the marketing team made sure the awesome clothes found a way to awesome kids with the help of Facebook awareness ads and Google Shopping, Search and Display ads.
