Lietaert is an ambitious local bakery with a store in Kuurne, Belgium. In order to easily manage orders by decreasing queuing time at peak moments in the weekends and, as a result, to grow as a business, Lietaert decided it was time for a webshop.
Lietaert sat together with Baldwin to discuss his dreams. The baker wanted the new webshop to be a support for his successful offline bakery shop and a place where his regular and new clients could order his delicious products. The clients should be able to choose a date and pick up in-store without having to wait a second.
Baldwin was excited to make this sweet dream become reality.
We started the project with market research to define the most important aspects of what food webshop needs: mouth-watering images, easy navigation and transparent content about ingredients and allergies.
Design and Development
The design team was challenged to translate the concept and story of the more than twenty-year-old bakery into a fresh and delicious webshop. Thanks to the same colors and the well-known friendly face of the baker, the website should be recognizable for his regular clients. At the same time, the shop should also be fresh and intuitive, and the shopping flow fast and easy.
After the design was finished, the webshop development could begin in the latest version of Magento 2. The web development team installed the Baldwin Store pickup module for Magento 2 that allows customers to choose a date and a location in the checkout to pick up orders. Thanks to the Improved Layered Navigation extension for Magento 2, browsing through the new webshop of Lietaert is comfortable and easy: filters make it simple to find products, the generated URLs are SEO proof and the menu is fully optimized for a flawless mobile experience. The Lightspeed POS integration with Magento made sure the online catalog is synchronized with the cash register system.
SEO and Marketing
Our team of content writers created SEO-proof webshop content and meta text. The marketing team made sure the image names & sizes and the page speed were also fully optimized.
