Canary Hill asked Baldwin to upgrade their Magento 1 webshop to Magento 2. This to keep being an important player and provide their webshop visitors with a great experience. Canary Hill is a brand of cycle clothing for women – grown from a passion for cycling to become a successful business in the last few years. In her search for cycle clothing for women that is both functional and beautiful to look at, Carol – the business owner – decided to start her own brand. Today, her clothes made a lot of female riders happy.

Design & Development

The design team opted for a clean, intuitive and inspirational web design to highlight the products. The team managed to create a webshop that is easy to navigate, future-proof and that reflects the identity of the brand.

Once the design was finished, it was time for the developers to do their magic. They implemented all custom functionalities and installed some cool features. Canary Hill will, for example, be our first webshop to use the new Bpost Shipping Manager Plug-in for Magento, to easily manage all shipping and returns. The developers implemented the Baldwin Instagram feed module to showcase the inspirational pictures of her Instagram account on the homepage. The developers also made it possible for Canary Hill-fans to shop combinations. Thanks to bundled products, shoppers can now buy a complete outfit from one product page. Isn’t that cool?

SEO & Tracking

SEO and tracking are important aspects when it comes to managing a successful webshop. To make sure each page is properly indexed by the search engines and all data we gather is accurate, the marketing team installed the Baldwin SEO module and configured various tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager. To be able to analyze relevant data for the business, we track product clicks and impressions, add to cart events, purchases, site searches and much more.

After testing the webshop and double-checking everything, we were ready for the go-live. We are convinced that this new webshop is a powerful upgrade from Magento 1 to Magento 2.
